Pullman Khao Lak offers 253-room and villa. The team of designers and architects is led by Martin Palleros. Martin is the head of Tierra Design; his team designed the award-winning Twinpalms resort and restaurants in Phuket. This Khao Lak Resort concept is modelled on a merchants’ house, complete with a series of courtyards, lakes. The lagoon areas starting with a curved sculpture at the entrance. It is made by red bricks, made from the famous red clays in Phan Nga.
The subdued tones and graceful flow from mountain to the beach are juxtaposed with the full-blown exuberance of up-and-coming Thai artist Jatuporn Wongtong (Yui). Co-founder of Artslonga, an art-collective of former Silapakorn University students. Under the concept of art, they have created a section of story-telling sculptures all over the resort, including a huge symbolic tree of life aboard a boat in the lobby. Charming Taku Pa town
Pullman Khao Lak Resort Situated on Bang Muang Beach at the northern tip of the Phang Nag province. This Khao Lak Resort grasps the historical backdrop of Takua Pa, a town today still unfamiliar to most of the tourists but offers a great cultural excursion. The truth is this town in the thirteenth century during Srivijaya times was the best harbour on the west coast. The Tamil kingdoms forged the shipping routes. Trade flooded into the town across the Indian ocean. It prospered from the deep source of minerals and tin found inland.
By the 1900s it was a flourishing town with many Portuguese and Chinese migrants. The representative architecture of this time well-kept until today. Takua Pa was a cultural melting pot, very much like Phra Nakhon was in Bangkok.
